January 2021 - Finch Group has bought Compass Networks member Headley Group in its 12th deal since becoming part of Ethos Broking (parent firm is Ardonagh) in 2016.
February 2021 - Ardonagh Advisory purchased specialist professional indemnity broker Hera Indemnity.
March 2021 - Specialist broker Hemsley Wynne Furlonge, with offices in London and Germany, has been bought by Ardonagh.
May 2021 - Ardonagh Advisory has bought PMI specialist Usay subject to regulatory approval.

Aston Lark

January 2021 - Aston Lark purchased superyacht specialist broker for an undisclosed sum.
February 2021 - Aston Lark buys two brokers in the health insurance space, Right to Health and The Health Insurance Specialists.
February 2021 - Aston Lark snaps up Kent-based Sennocke International Insurance Services and Build-Zone Survey Services.
March 2021 - Aston Lark has extended its reach in Scotland with its buy of £30m - £40m GWP broker Bruce Stevenson which is headquartered in Edinburgh and has branches Glasgow, the Scottish Borders and Turriff.
March 2021 - Aston Lark has added an MGA to its portfolio buying Magenta Insurance.
March 2021 - In its third deal for the first week of March Aston Lark announced that broker Venture Insurance had been bought for an undisclosed sum.
June 2021 - Aston Lark made its 15^th deal in 2021 with its buy of Bolton-based Premier Insurance Consultants
July 2021 - Aston Lark added wholsaler and reinsurance specialist ES Risks to its portfolio
August 2021 - Aston Lark added Plester Group to its portfolio for an undisclosed sum
August 2021 - Essex Insurance Broker, based in Hornchurch, joined the Aston Lark portfolio
September 2021 Aston Lark buys private medical insurance specialist, The Health Insurance Company, as it plans further deals in the health insurance space

Gallagher

January 2021 - Gallagher kicked off 2021 by finalising its deal to buy Bollington from private equity provider Inflexion.

Global Risk Partners

January 2021 - GRP purchased Newstead Insurance Brokers in its first deal of 2021.
January 2021 - GRP, via its health broker Premier Choice Healthcare (PCH) , has bought SJA International for an undisclosed sum. PCH now controls around £60m in GWP annually.
February 2021 - GRP moved into the network space with confidence in February with its acquisition of Marsh Networks – comprising ProBroker, Purple Partnership and Bluefin Network – taking GRP’s GWP up to £1.6bn. The networks are based in various UK locations.
February 2021 - GRP swoops for Ipswich-based Five Insurance Brokers.
March 2021 - GRP broker Newstead has bought Alford Burton as its looks to grow its presence in the region.
March 2021 - DCJ makes first deal as part of GRP stable with purchase of Lincoln-based J E Sills & Sons.
March 2021 - Global Risk Partners bought Lawrence Fraser to add to its Marshall Wooldridge hub which is based in Leeds
July 2021 - GRP broker, DJC Insurance purchased Real Insurance for an undisclosed sum
July 2021 - GRP swooped for WTW’s Northern Irish business and will integrate it into ABL
August 2021 - GRP has bought specialist HNW broker, Three Sixty which the Gauntlet business which it purchased in 2019

PIB

January -2021 Altrincham-based construction specialist UK & Ireland Insurance Services has joined the PIB Group stable for an undisclosed sum.
March 2021 - PIB buys Staffordshire-based Element Hinton in second deal of 2021
March 2021 - PIB buys MGA Acquinex Group, which specialises in M&A insurance products for small to mid-market deals across Europe
May 2021 - PIB expands across the Channel Islands with deal for Jersey-based CBCJ
August 2021 - PIB business, Barbon Insurance, beefed up its lettings proposition with the acquisition of Rent4sure
September 2021 - PIB has added motor trade specialist Purfleet-based Simply Insurance Services to its motor division

Assured Partners

January 2021 - Borland Insurance was acquired by the US giant as it moves further into UK territory

Clear Group

March 2021 - Clear Group announced a double deal in March and has added HIA International and Luker Rowe to its growing portfolio

Jensten Group

February 2021 - Jensten Group (formerly Coversure) made its first deal of 2021 with the acquisition of £13m GWP Packetts for an undisclosed sum
February 2021 - Jensten Group moved in for Wiltshire-based Advance Insurance Agencies and will develop the broker into its personal lines “centre of excellence”
June 2021 - Jensten Group added Tasker Insurance Group to its stable, adding £50m in GWP to the group
July 2021 - Jensten Group-owned Tasker snapped up Insure Risk in its fifth deal over the past two and a half years

JM Glendinning

March 2021 - JM Glendinning, which is backed by Synova Capital has bought Butterworth Spengler and added £17m to its GWP, as revealed by sister title Post
March -2021 JM Glendinning made its second deal in a week with its purchase of Nowell & Richards
July 2021 - JM Glendinning parent group, JMG, has purchased Bickley Insurance which is its first deal in the South

Partners&

January 2021 - Partners&, which was created in 2020, acquired Focus Oxford Risk Management (Focus ORM), an Oxford-based specialist insurance adviser, for an undisclosed sum
March 2021 - Partners& creates northern hub with Ives & Taylor buy.
May 2021 - Partners& acquires Town and Country in order to bolster its presence in the South West and establish a regional hub
July 2021 - Partners& added loss adjuster Kudos to its portfolio

Right Choice Insurance Brokers

April 2021 - After months in limbo Bennetts was bought by Right Choice Insurance Brokers which, in the same week, added a number of Fresh Insurance brands to its portfolio following a deal with Kingfisher
August 2021 - Right Choice added to its portfolio with its deal to buy Lyndon Wood-led Moorhouse for an undisclosed sum

Seventeen Group

May 2021 - Seventeen Group has snapped up Ruislip-based broker Pinner Risk Solutions
May 2021 - Seventeen Group has purchased Ryans in a move which adds £12m in GWP to the business

Specialist Risk Group

January 2021 - Specialist Rick Group bought GB Underwriting – based in Witham. It also bought specialist equestrian broker, KBIS, which is based in Newbury, just after the New Year.
February 2021 - SRG snaps up trade credit specialist The Channel Partnership.
March 2021 - Specialist Risk Group has bought CLS Risk Solutions for an undisclosed sum subject to regulatory approval
March 2021 - Specialist Risk Group struck its fifth deal of 2021 with its buy of taxi experts, Emrose

Xenia Broking Group

April 2021 - Nexus-owned credit insurance and surety specialist Xenia Broking Group has agreed to buy the trade credit business of Credit Insurance Alliance Brokers (CIA).

March 2021 - Aston Lark brings North County Brokers, based in Balbriggan in County Dublin, into the fold
April 2021 - PIB buys Creane & Creane based in Enniscorthy as it looks to accelerate its retail footprint in Ireland
April 2021 - Aston Lark adds O’Loughlin Insurance Group in its second Irish deal of this year
May 2021 - Aston Lark continues Irish expansion with Brady Burns buy
June 2021 - GRP-owned Crotty buys Martin Insurance in Caven
July 2021 - Specialist motorcycle broker, Principal, joined the Aston Lark portfolio in July
August 2021 - Brassington Insurance, in Dublin, is Aston Lark’s sixth deal in the Republic of Ireland this year
