Partners& acquires Town and Country

deal

The deal will see the broker build its presence in the South West and establish a regional hub.

Partners& has bought Devon-based insurance broker, Town and Country Insurance Services, for an undisclosed sum.

The business stated that the deal will bolster its presence in the South West and help establish its regional hub.

According to Partners&, Town and Country is one of the oldest independent insurance brokers in the UK. It has 37 staff with experience in specialist sectors including care, construction, retail, and leisure.

Phil Barton, Partners& CEO, commented: “Richard and Emma have built a wonderful business based on strong client-first principles – focusing on building long lasting relationships, providing a personal service, and standing by the advice they provide.

“These principles are directly in line with our Partners& values and I am excited about the team becoming part of the Partners& family.”

Opportunity
Commenting on the partnership, Richard Bushnell, managing director of Town and Country, said: “Our decision to join forces with Partners& was an important move for us. We are proud of the business that has been created over the last 87 years and could only consider such a decision knowing that Phil and the team care as much for clients and people as we do.”

Emma Tucker, operations director, added: “It’s an exciting time and I’m looking forward to bringing our two businesses together.

“This move will present great career opportunities for our people, strengthen our access to insurer markets, and offer our clients access to a broader range of services to help them manage and mitigate their risks. We’re really delighted.”

Deals
Partners& has had a busy year, the recent deal following a series of acquisitions and developments. In February, the broker took on three staff in the North East in order to develop a regional proposition in the area.

In March, the growth trend continued, with Partners& buying Bolton-based insurance broker Ives & Taylor.

Additionally, in April, the broker also bought Nottingham-based IFM Insurance Brokers (Midlands), which trades as IFM Select.
