Aston Lark makes second PMI deal for 2022

Aston Lark has added Healthwise Group to its portfolio as its second healthcare acquisition of 2022.

In January the business also bought Phoenix Healthcare.

Founded in 1993 and based in Dudley in the West Midlands, with a dedicated team led by Paul Swanson and Bob Grindley, Healthwise provides private medical insurance and other employee benefits solutions.

Paul Swanson, commercial director of Healthwise, commented: “We have been contacted by many parties interested in acquiring Healthwise over the years, however Aston Lark stood out as a great future home for our clients.

“They offer vast expertise across a wide range of insurance products including all areas of employee benefits, whilst still providing a highly personal service, replicating our own business model. We can now support all our clients’ insurance needs as part of the combined group facility.”

Bob Grindley, managing director of Healthwise, added: “We’re delighted to be joining Aston Lark and are excited by the prospect of expanding our operation in Dudley.”

It was announced last year that Aston Lark had been bought by Howden. At the time of the deal Blanc pledged to keep the broker on the acquisition trail.
