Gallagher to rebrand Coleman Marine

Change

Gallagher will rebrand Coleman Marine as Gallagher on 30 May.

The specialist retail marine broker was bought by Stackhouse Poland in 2017, which was then snapped-up by Gallagher in 2019.

Poole-based Coleman Marine has a team of 20 with its specialisms including yacht and motorboat, superyacht, marine trade and cargo as well as commercial craft.

Regional managing director of the South West in Gallagher’s UK retail business, Steve Risk, said: “The boating sector, and in particular the popularity of leisure boating, has grown over the past few years, with the most recent figures showing purchases of leisure boats are up 9% year-on-year. As a leading specialist insurance broker in this market, this growth provides us with a springboard to expand our business further.”

Risk added: “We are very pleased to rebrand as having the team operating under a leading global insurance brand will enable us to capitalise on the investment in the Gallagher brand at both a UK and global level.”
